In addition to the Level I Nursery, Lake Pointe offers a 17-bed Level II and Level III NICU for those deliveries requiring a higher level of care, the only Level II and Level III NICU in Rockwall County. The Level II and Level III NICU allows us to provide advanced nursing care for infants born prematurely, infants with special needs, and infants who are medically compromised. This advanced level of service allows mother and baby to stay together after delivery. Our medical staff includes board-certified Pediatricians, Anesthesiologists, Neonatologists, Perinatologists (Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist), Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, and specially trained Registered Nurses and Respiratory Therapists that are available 24/7 to handle any need that may arise.
