Echocardiography Lab

Diagnosing heart disease is the first step on the road to treatment and recovery. The Echocardiography Lab can assist patients with this important first step.

Echocardiography uses high frequency sound waves to create images of the heart and its structures. The test allows our skilled cardiovascular sonographers to identify damaged heart tissue or heart valves or other abnormalities of the heart. Additionally, the non-invasive test can detect and assess coronary artery disease, as well as potential causes behind chest pain.

Conditions Detected:

  • Pericardial effusion
  • Congestive heart failure (CHF)
  • Low-ejection fraction
  • Thrombus
  • Endocarditis
  • Heart murmur
