Rockwall – March 14, 2007 – Lake Pointe Medical Center was a recent sponsor of the annual Rockwall ISD Education Foundation’s annual fundraising celebration.

“We appreciate the opportunity to assist the Foundation in meeting the educational needs of our community.  Their goal of encouraging and rewarding innovation in the classroom provides opportunities for local teachers to make a difference in the lives of not only their students, but the community as a whole,” stated Carolyn Jackson, CEO of Lake Pointe Medical Center.

At the event, Lake Pointe purchased a beautiful piece of artwork created by the 6th grade students in Christi Gates’ Art Class at Howard Dobbs Elementary.  They created a map of the United States using each state’s license plate cut into the specific shape of that state.  These students recently visited Lake Pointe to take a photo with the art they created, as well as tour the facility and learn more about the new technologies and services that Lake Pointe Medical Center has to offer.  The artwork will be permanently displayed in the Hospital for all to enjoy.
