The Inpatient Services department at Lake Pointe Medical Center utilizes a multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary approach to care provided. Patient assessment, plan of care, intervention, evaluation of goals / outcomes are addressed on an ongoing basis.

Quality care is delivered in a safe and professional manner from the time our patients are admitted until discharged.

Medical Unit
Our medical unit is a 24-bed unit. It is for patients with a medical diagnosis requiring care in an acute care setting. Telemetry monitoring is available in this unit.

The most frequent admitting diagnosis’s are:

  • Pneumonia / Bronchitis
  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Chest Pain / Heart Attack
  • Diabetes

Surgical / Pediatric Unit
Lake Pointe Medical Center’s surgical / pediatric unit is a 24-bed unit with suites available upon request. It is primarily for pre and post surgical patients requiring care in an acute care setting. General surgical care, including vascular, orthopedic, urology and ear-nose-throat, is provided. Telemetry monitoring is available in this unit.

The most frequent admitting diagnosis include:

  • Abdominal Pain
  • Cholecystitis
  • Fractures

Comprehensive pediatric care in an acute care setting is provided for medical and surgical diagnosis. Lake Pointe nurses and physicians provide that special attention and extra TLC to meet the needs of the child and family during this stressful time.
