The Digestive Health Center at Lake Pointe Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, four suite center equipped with HD endoscope technology. The HD endoscopic cameras enhance the physician's ability to detect diseases of the digestive tract in their earliest stages, while minimizing procedure times for our patients. Compared to conventional systems, high-definition endoscopy, combined with Narrow Band Imaging, provides the physicianswith sharper images and better contrast, which in turn may help them better detect lesions during examinations when using the wide-angle colonoscope. Working closely with the physicians of Digestive Health Associates of Texas, Lake Pointe Medical Center provides the very latest in endoscopic technology, along with our highly-trained staff, to assist the physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and disorders of the entire digestive tract, including the esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small bowel, colon, gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreas.

The American Cancer Society recommends that beginning at age 50, both men and women should be screened for colon and rectal cancer. People with colorectal cancer risk factors, such as a personal history of colorectal cancer or adenomatous polyps or a strong family history of colorectal polyps, should talk to their doctor about starting colorectal screening earlier and/or undergoing screening more often.
