Lake Pointe Ultrasound/Vascular

Ultrasound
Lake Pointe Medical Center has two ultrasound suites. Ultrasound imaging is an important diagnostic tool used in monitoring pregnancy and identifying abnormalities in the breast, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, uterus, ovaries, testes, and thyroids.

Breast core biopsy is a non-surgical procedure. The radiologist locates a suspicious lesion, then, through use of a biopsy needle, take tiny sections of tissue for examination and diagnosis. This technique minimizes pain.

An ultrasound consists of high frequency sound waves, which are electronically generated and have no known harmful effects on humans at the levels used for diagnosis.

Vascular Lab
The Vascular Lab performs noninvasive procedures that can evaluate arterial disease, which can lead to a stroke, and evaluate veins of the legs for potentially life-threatening blood clots.

Routine hours are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, and 24 hour emergency call.
