Breast Health for Life
Our goal is early detection of breast cancer through education. We are dedicated to the prevention, screening, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. The death rate from breast cancer is going down due to more women receiving mammograms and better treatment of breast cancer. Breast Health for Life is a free educational program presented to community organizations, schools, churches and businesses. The program includes:

Living Well With Cancer
Living Well With Cancer is a monthly program for cancer patients and their families, providing a time to meet and share with others who have cancer, learn how to improve their quality of life, dispel common myths about cancer, and learn more about living with cancer.

Located in the Lake Pointe Imaging Center/Breast Center in Rockwall, the Resource Center is dedicated to helping patients before, during, and after their cancer experience.
Hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday.
Breast Health Nurse Coordinator
What is a Breast Health Nurse Coordinator? A compassionate and knowledgeable individual to help guide you and answer your questions related to your breast health and/or breast cancer diagnosis.
“Like many women, I have been touched by breast cancer when my mother was diagnosed”, explains Barbara Quast, RN. “My role as Breast health Nurse Coordinator is to calmly support the patient and ensure they have all the information they need. By providing a personal approach to each patient’s care, I do my best to make a difference in the lives of my patients.”
Barbara’s role as Breast Health Nurse Coordinator at Lake Pointe is to:

Counsel women at high-risk for developing breast cancer

Educate you and your loved ones about your individual diagnosis and treatment

Help you make informed decisions about your treatment and care

Advocate for you during treatment

Coordinate the team of physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals

Provide community education on breast health and breast cancer

Facilitate community support programs

Provide breast cancer risk assessments and generic information and referrals

Our objectives are to address service gaps and unmet needs in our community and to reduce breast cancer deaths through education, providing breast screening and diagnostic services and offering outreach support for women.
