The Community Seminar Series is designed to keep our community educated about current medical topics. Practicing physicians from our exceptional medical staff of over 400 physicians provide interactive presentations on a wide variety of health care topics. All seminars take place in the Lake Pointe Cafe at Lake Pointe Medical Center located at 6800 Scenic Drive in Rowlett. Childbirth Classes - We understand the importance of preparing for delivery during this most exciting time in your life. To assist those first-time parents, we offer comprehensive childbirth classes monthly, covering such topics as stages of labor, methods of delivery, baby and post partum care, breast and bottle feeding, and many more. Each class concludes with a tour of the OB Unit. Please call 972-412-3296 to make your reservation. All parents-to-be are invited to tour our facility and visit our nursing staff who are always happy to answer any questions you may have.
Diabetes Support Group
meets the first Thursday of each month beginning at 7:00p.m. in the Lake Pointe Cafe at Lake Pointe Medical Center, 6800 Scenic Drive in Rowlett. Please call the Education Department at

Weight Loss Surgery Informational Seminars are designed to provide information about having weight-loss surgery at Lake Pointe Medical Center and answer your questions about the procedure. These seminars are lead by our Bariatric Coordinator and our Bariatric Surgeons. The seminars take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month in the Lake Pointe Cafe at Lake Pointe Medical Center located at 6800 Scenic Drive in Rowlett. American Heart Association CPR classes are held twice a year, once in February and once in October, at Lake Pointe Medical Center and are open to the community. Please call the Education Department at 972.412.3380 X2628 for more information .
