The Physical Medicine Department of Lake Pointe Medical Center offers a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Programs. The department is staffed with Physical Therapists, a Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Technicians, Occupational Therapists, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, a Speech Therapist, a Registered Nurse and an Exercise Physiologist. We accept most insurance plans as well as worker's compensation.

Speech Therapy Speech Therapy at Lake Pointe Medical Center offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for patients needing to regain speech following an injury or health event such as a stroke. They also work with patients who have difficulty in swallowing and/or cognitive deficits and memory problems. Patients may receive training in speech and language skills, cognitive and memory skills, and oral motor musculature strengthening.
Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation at Lake Pointe Medical Center offers outpatient rehabilitation for patients who have had a heart attack within the last year, had open heart surgery within the last year, suffer from stable angina or have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program to educate and affect lifestyle changes in the areas of exercise, nutrition, stress management, and smoking cessation. The program consists of three, one- hour sessions per week for six to twelve weeks, which take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each exercise session is monitored and supervised to ensure that each participant is able to exercise safely. The program is designed to teach each participant the principles of safe exercise so that they can continue their exercise upon successful completion of the program.
