Volunteers are an important part of Lake Pointe Medical Center and we are always looking for men and women to join our volunteer team.
The Volunteer Program provides volunteers the opportunity to assist hospital staff in the performance of nonmedical services for our patients, guests and staff. The volunteers deliver mail, flowers and magazines to patient rooms, escort patients to various parts of the hospital, among other things. Each year, the volunteers are in charge of the Blood Drive for Lake Pointe Medical Center. They publish a monthly volunteer newsletter and have produced a Cookbook in conjunction with the hospital staff.
During the summer months, interested teenagers have the opportunity to volunteer at Lake Pointe Medical Center. Teens must be 14 years of age by June 1 of the year they are volunteering to be eligible. This program offers young people a great opportunity to learn more about healthcare professions as well as the importance of volunteerism.
