| ROWLETT, TX – FEBRUARY 11, 2008 – Lake Pointe Health Network recently opened the Lake Pointe Wound Care Center in Rowlett. Located at 7501 Lakeview Parkway, the program specializes in the treatment of non-healing wounds, a growing problem spurred by the aging population and the increased incidence of diabetes.
The Lake Pointe Wound Care Center is an outpatient, hospital-based program that works in conjunction with the patient’s primary care physician, serving as an adjunctive service for the referring physician and specializing in the treatment of problem wounds. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM, the center operates by appointment only.
Deana Hunt, Program Director at the Lake Pointe Wound Care Center, states “We are glad to be in the community providing much needed services for patients with non healing wounds. Our panel of physicians includes general surgeons, vascular surgeons, podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons and physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists. We provide comprehensive treatment for non-healing wounds that includes advanced wound care therapies and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Each patient will be followed by a panel physician that will coordinate the overall care plan, working in conjunction with the patient’s physician.”
“We are excited to open the Wound Care Center in Rowlett,” said Carolyn Jackson, chief executive officer of Lake Pointe Health Network. “This new service will complement the Lake Pointe Health Network and provide added convenience for residents to access quality wound care that is close to home”
