Rockwall – March 14, 2007 – Mike Fatheree, Director of Lake Pointe’s Imaging Center in Rockwall, was recently ‘locked-up’ as part of the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Lock-up fundraising campaign.
Fatheree was picked up at the Imaging Center and taken straight to ‘jail’, where he quickly began working to make bail, or ‘raise money’ for the organization. Although Fatheree’s supervisor was jokingly unavailable to aid his employee, word quickly spread throughout the hospital about his generous efforts on behalf of the MDA.
Jeff Patterson, Director of Business Development at Lake Pointe, soon received a call regarding Mr. Fatheree’s “imprisonment” and quickly responded with a donation of $825 from Lake Pointe Medical Center to MDA to help ‘spring’ the Lake Pointe employee. “It is our pleasure to donate to a worthwhile organization such as the MDA. We appreciate their mission to raise money and awareness for muscular dystrophy and its victims, and welcomed the opportunity to contribute,” stated Patterson.
